Got Pregnant Naturally after Two Failed IVFs

My husband and I were facing our third and final round of IVF in our attempt to conceive, and I wanted to ensure I did everything I could to make it a success. We were coping with a serious male factor, and I was about to turn 38.
I had heard that some women found acupuncture and TCM herbs to be helpful. My reproductive endocrinologist said he had no problem with it, so I decided to try it.
I found Dr. Zhou on the internet, and when I checked with my reproductive endocrinologist’s office, they were very positive – they knew her and respected her work.
I went in for an initial consultation with Dr. Zhou, and I was impressed with her gentle manner, experience and knowledge. I committed to a two month course of treatment with her – 2 treatments a week, as well as taking certain herbs she gave me.
I found the treatments very relaxing. Dr. Zhou and I tracked my cycles carefully, and after 8 weeks we were coming up to the time when my next cycle, and next IVF cycle, would begin.
However, I was late. I was impatient to start the IVF cycle, so I took a home pregnancy test to rule out that possibility – and I was shocked and delighted when the test was positive! My doctor’s office confirmed the pregnancy with a blood test the next day.
We were told several years ago that the chances of getting pregnant on our own were extremely remote. My husband’s numbers had slowly improved over time, but we were still committed to doing IVF as our best chance of getting pregnant. I feel confident that doing acupuncture was beneficial to me, and helped us get pregnant. We are very grateful to Dr. Zhou for her expertise and her care. I would recommend her without hesitation.
